[DREAMS + BUSINESS] - BUSINESS = DREAMS
DREAMS
Since the conscious decision to follow a path different to most, I have
never really been able to pinpoint what it is that makes me want to -so
madly- do what I do. And please note that I'm still defining what that
is even now. I can recall though, at an age when you can't exactly remember
how old you are, of peeking into the closed boxes, neatly stored in the
bottom of our moth-ball scented linen closet. On many an occasion, with
the utmost of care and secrecy, I pulled out a long forgotten portfolio
with my mother's name on it. Inside, the meticulously and decoratively
designed water paintings of rabbits and flowers and all things nice kept
me visually occupied for hours. I thought she was just so clever to be
able to reproduce reality as she had; and wanting so desperately to do
the same, I would dream myself to sleep every night thinking about how
I would get up the next day and attempt to recreate these marvels myself.
